You can’t tell by looking at us that there are 3 diabetics dog piled. Me at the bottom having had diabetes for 15 years, I got it when I was 11. Caleb is next in the pile and has had it for 6 weeks, he’s almost 13. Ryan on the top, got diabetes when he was 3 and he’s now 11.
If anyone else saw this picture, they’d think we were just a couple of normal kids goofing off. We will always look at this picture and think about how we all have something in common that we’d all rather not have in common. By the same token, I don’t think any one of us three are ungrateful that we each know someone that understands what we’re going through, even if it because of the common thread of diabetes that we each have.
There is no cure for diabetes…
